CAPTAIN TIM GAYLOR
Captain Tim Gaylor holds his US Coast Guard 100 Gross Ton
Master License
(Click here to view a copy). He
is a member of the Merchant Marines, and is a talented,
experienced captain. He is proficient in
maritime navigation and weather monitoring utilizing Furano GPS and Navman Chart Plotter, Furano bottom
machine along with JRC 24 mile radar and Horizon marine
radio. Safety always comes first!
Captain Tim was raised in Coastal Georgia, and has been
a fisherman his entire life, studying old fashioned
angling techniques from his Grandpa Bell from the time
he was old enough to sit up in the seat of the car in
the pre-dawn hours. He continued to fish and tinker on
boats as he grew into adulthood and began his family. He
has a wife and two children, and they have a home on the
Ogeechee River within walking distance of Fort
McAllister Marina. (Not a bad commute, no traffic,
no exhaust fumes).
He studied Electronics Technology at Brunswick College
in Brunswick, Georgia, then became a homebuilder and
developer (But don't hold that against him). He founded
the Home Builders Association of Liberty County, and was
a past president. He also served as a Director on
Southern Building Code and Congress International. He
worked in commercial construction for many years,
specializing in medical offices and churches.
Captain Tim's philosophy is that life is too short not
to enjoy what you do every day. So now he gets to show folks the
enjoyment to be had off the coast of Georgia. He
considers himself somewhat of an expert in this area,
having lived here over forty years. He can make the time
fly by with his tales of adventure and misadventure.
He has studied under the guidance and wisdom of Judy
Helmey of Miss Judy Charters for more than six fishing
seasons, and he now offers his own fishing charter services,
continuing a reputation for excellence.
