Get Away From It
All!
Would you like to truly get away
from the hustle and bustle of the big city?
Do you feel the
lure of a salt water breeze? Does the warmth of a
sunrise on the ocean bring you back to life?
Would you like to
start a fishing trip near the site of an earthenwork
fortification so tough that it withstood seven attacks
by Union ironclads and was never taken by sea,
then cruise past the site of the wreck of the CSS
Nashville (The Rattlesnake)?
Would you like to
watch an American Bald Eagle soar from his nest, drop
down neatly, and pluck a fish from the water?
Would you like to
take a trip with a captain who actually carries the
nickname "Mr. Fun"?
If you answered
yes to any of these questions, then you need a trip with
Captain Tim of Captain Tim Charters, offering
departures from Fort McAllister Marina. On our boats,
it is truly our pleasure to introduce our passengers to
the adventure of saltwater fishing, and to the bounty of
the Georgia coast.
Possible catches
depending on your trip could be the big game fish or the good eatin' fish.
Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, Tuna, Mahi, Wahoo,
Kingfish, Shark, and Sea Bass, just to drop a few names.
You will enjoy some of the best fishing the area has to
offer. Let us know, and we'll custom design your trip
for you.

We supply all the
necessary rods, reels, lures, and bait. Don't forget
your camera and sunscreen, snacks, food and drinks. You may either bring
your own snacks and drinks, or arrange to purchase from the marina.
The marina has a full service kitchen, and will be glad
to work out pricing based on your tastes. Please let them know in advance, so they can have you
well stocked. Bring plenty to drink, as fishing can be
hard work.
From the time you
arrive at Fort McAllister Marina, you'll feel as if the
world has stopped and allowed you to step off just for a
while.
